There is nothing quite like summer nights. When it cools down faster outside than it does inside, we drag a few pillows outside, lay out on the lawn or trampoline, and cut open a sweet, juicy watermelon. This particular night was right after a tremendous windstorm, and following the lawn-laying, watermelon-wolfing ritual, Kate found a baby bird near the horseshoe pit where Doug and Chad were pitching. We ended up finding 3 little sparrows and their nest, which had been blown out of the maple tree in the windstorm. The poor little bald things were completely doomed, but we gathered them up into their nest anyway and put it next to the tree.

Now that you have read the book, you may want to try the movie...the BBC version is very close to the book and it has Colin Ferth in it...I have it if you want it! I personally love the version with Kiera Knightley...I also have that one! It has become one of my favorite movies! I think that I would like to join you on your quest to conquer the college list of books...I have read some of them already...Great Gatsby not my fave, Scarlet Letter definitely not a fave, I have read To Kill A Mockingbird but would like to read it again!
I just started The Count of Monte Cristo...1200 pages...it make take me a while, but when I'm done, I wouldn't mind reading some of your reccomendations!:)
Your girls are so sweet! I love the fudgesickle photo...the eyes closed for sure shows me just how good those fudgies are! And Kate is gorgeous in the picture with the Lizard!
They really have no fear when it comes to little, fast, creepy, eewwie, reptiles do they?
I am a more run away screaming and sweating at the sight and movement of those kinds of things...but you won't hold it against me right?! (ha ha) I can't wait to see your horned toad pics...is there a huge trophy among them?
