Borens-n-Basins

Thursday, Nettletons had their final branding up at Diamond Basin Corral. Maybe it is the laid-back nature of this small, intimate branding that makes me calm, maybe it is the dutch-oven meal, or maybe it is the beautiful location, but something about the Diamond Corral branding just makes me feel...well, wonderful; I just love it. Steve came over from Twin Falls to help, and I volunteered to watch Ella and Loyd so he could get that done, and so the kiddos could PLAY! Play they did. In fact, they played so hard all morning, that by the time I got to the end of the lane on the way up to the branding, all three in the back had crashed out in the car seat lineup. It was completely precious, and it made me miss Natalie, even though I know she's looking down on her babies from a better place. They gradually all woke up, and of course had much more playing to do: horses to ride, flowers to pick, ice cream to eat, cow trails to follow, and rocks to climb. Despite the wind and cold, which kept everyone's noses needing wiped, we had a great time with the Borens in the basin.

Don't you just love Loyd's frog boots? They are so adorable!
